New Sisyphus has a number of quotes and lots of commentary from George W. Bush’s recent speech in Brussels. Bush not “moderating” his tone to appease the offended Old Europeans. He’s holding up his record of extraordinary achievement — democracies in Afghanistan, Ukraine and Iraq, democratic fervor in Egypt, Jordan, Saudia Arabia, Syria and Iran, Libya’s capitulation, the exemplary US response to the Christmas tsunami — and saying, “Do you want to get on board?” Or will you be shuffled off into the mist of obscurity while a new and better world emerges despite you?
