Been pretty busy for the past couple of weeks. Choir concerts, parties, shopping…
This weekend we went to two parties, sang a choir concert, and hung out with friends. There were a couple more events we could have gone to, but by late afternoon yesterday I was done, so we stayed in last night. I still woke up feeling like I couldn’t wait to get to work for some peace, quiet and relaxation.
Finally read The Kite Runner yesterday. As I thought, it had resonances for me that perhaps it wouldn’t have for people who didn’t leave their country just ahead of decades of devastating civil war.
