In order to show my support for the people of Israel during this latest episode in their ongoing battle for survival, I have purchased pizza and soft drinks via PizzaIDF for units of the IDF and Israeli families displaced by the indiscriminate rocket attacks on northern Israel.
One third of the population of Israel is spending the night in bomb shelters.
You may say, “What about the Lebanese?” It is true that they are probably doing much the same, and I can sympathize. Unfortunately, I know all about sleeping on the floor out of range of the windows as mortar shells and bullets fly overhead.
But as even Egypt and Saudi Arabia have pointed out, the situation is the result of Hezbollah firing missiles from Lebanese territory at Israel after Israel withdrew from its buffer zone in Lebanon that was intended to prevent that very thing. In addition, Israel is aiming at targets of strategic military value, while Hezbollah is deliberately aiming at civilian targets.
