Linguistic and Religious Silliness

I’m still working on my Intelligent Design rant, but for now Bill Poser at Language Log has an extreme example of religious silliness coupled with linguistic ignorance:

She immediately demanded to know whether I believed in the Bible. I responded that my view of the truth of the Bible was irrelevant since the Bible had nothing to say about the matter. We went back and forth on this briefly. Then she stalked off, convinced that I was yet another unbeliever whose denial of the truth of the Bible led him to reject her hypothesis.

  1. Have you read “The Heart of Christianity?” It sounds like Bill would agree with it’s views.
