The dreadful cost of war in Iraq

CENTCOM has a brief overview of the dreadful results of the war in Iraq. (Hat tip: Winds of Change).

Ask yourself: why does it talk about hundreds and thousands of hospitals and schools being reopened? The accounts of embedded reporters make it absolutely clear that the US did not target such civilian facilities (I’m reading In the Company of Soldiers right now, and though the author is decidedly liberal, he cannot but commend the soldiers he travelled with for their restraint, dignity, humanity and scrupulous adherence to their extremely restrictive rules of engagement).

So who did destroy them?

The fact that ignorant dupes all over the world were out last week protesting against the greatest act of humanitarian goodness in the last half-century makes me feel weary and ill.
