This day is called the feast of Finagle:
\nHe that outlives this day, and comes safe home,
\nWill cringe in misery when the day is named,
\nAnd hide him at the name of Finagle.
\nHe that shall live this day, and see old age,
\nWill yearly on the vigil LART his neighbors,
\nAnd say “To-morrow is St. Finagle.”
\nThen he will strip his sleeve and show his scars,
\nAnd say “These wounds I had from PC case.”
\nAdmins forget: yet all shall be forgot,
\nBut he’ll be post-traumatic till the end.
\nWhat feats he did that day! Then shall our names,
\nFamiliar in his mouth as aged scotch,
\nSimon the Bastard, Shmuel and Shaw,
\nKami and Kaze, Holdsworth and Murphy
\nBe in their flowing cups freshly remember’d.
\nThis story shall the bitter man teach none;
